Blocking of websites showing sexual exploitation of children

The Hague - The Netherlands.

With specific regards to the sexual exploitation of children on the Internet, Europol has been supporting the "COSPOL Internet Related Child Abuse Material Project" (CIRCAMP) through the provision of expert advice and analysis support. This project is currently driven by Norway with the support of several EU Member States. Europol has been supporting the "Comprehensive, Operational, Strategic Planning for the Police" (COSPOL) initiative since its start under the Dutch Presidency of the EU in 2004.

CIRCAMP has recently promoted the use of a filtering system, so-called CSAADF (Child Sexual Abuse Anti-Distribution Filter), in cooperation with Internet Service Providers.
