Following the application of Regulation (EC) 45/2001 to all administrative personal data held by Europol in accordance with Article 46 of the Europol Regulation, please be informed that the data processing operation entailing the collection of data for the Internship administration has been notified to the Data Protection Officer following Article 25 of Regulation 45/2001. The controller of this processing operation upon your personal data is the Business Manager HR. The purpose of this collection of data is to select interns/trainees and administrate the documentation related to the internship/traineeship. The data collected in order to comply with the purpose are the ones required in the application form for the request for internship plus all data provided by the data subject in the form of free text and/or the attachment of their CV. The people who will access this data are staff employed in Capabilities Department, Administration Business Area dealing with HR and Financial matters, the Supervisor of the intern and its superior line management as well as respective colleagues involved in the selection process. Please be informed that opposing to this processing operation will automatically exclude you from being considered for the internship project. The legal basis for processing your data is the Decision of the Director on Internships of 2 June 2015. Data of the selected candidates (interns and trainees) will be kept for 7 years after the finalisation of the internship programme. Data of non-selected applicants will be kept for a maximum of 2 years. You have the right of recourse to the Europol Data Protection Officer (dpo@europol.europa.eu) and the European Data Protection Supervisor (www.edps.europa.eu).
